In the Snail Trail Graffiti Geogebra Lab we used line reflection symmetry to create beautiful symmetric designs. The first step to the lab was making a circle with on 60 degree angle, and putting a point on the perpendicular bisector of the angle on the circle. I then reflected the point over the angle lines creating 6 different colored points. Every time you move the original point, the 5 other points follow it creating a perfectly symmetric shape.
In the process of making this lab, I learned patience and carefully reading directions are key concepts you need when making a Geogebra lab or making any geometry shapes. I could have refined this project by spending more time creating a design to make it more elaborate and interesting and read all the directions carefully before I rushed ahead and did any steps. This has been my favorite Geogebra lab of all the labs we have done because it tied geometry, symmetry, and art all together.
