Digital Arts
In this project, we used our tools and new knowledge in photo shop to create a new image consisting of a fore ground, middle-ground, and background. I learned to use the basic tools in Photoshop and how to create art using the program. I really enjoyed trying something new and experimenting with Photoshop. Some of the tools I learned to use that were the most helpful were the magic wand tool to select figures or shapes, transformation and reshaping figures, and how to refine the edge on a shape. It was really helpful to have a hands on experience using the tools in the program. I learned that the difference between foreground, middle-ground and background, is how much detail you can see. In my picture, you can see the individual rocks, pebbles, the shape of the chipmunk. As the picture goes back, the tiny details become smaller, you can't see individual pebbles or blades of grass. In the background, everything is blurred together and there is little detail and differences in color in the black ridge.
